The Aiminaabee application is a Node.js commerce API and a vendor dashboard. The storefront is installed, built, and hosted separately, so you can choose the frontend stack your team already knows and implement your own design system.
These guides (and the store-front-development skill) specify implementation only — SDK, store code, cookies, region, cart, checkout API order, auth. They do not specify UI. JSX in examples is one way to call the API, not a required look.
Next.js App Router is the recommended default. Follow Build a Next.js Storefront for the server data layer, cookies, store code, and region rules. Other frameworks use the same Store API; only the file layout changes.
Who should follow these guides?
These guides are for developers who want to build a storefront for their Aiminaabee store:
- A web storefront built with Next.js (recommended) or another frontend framework. Store API concepts are the same.
- A mobile storefront with React Native and Expo. Native APIs are covered there; these pages stay focused on web.
Using the JS SDK
All guides in this section use the Aiminaabee JS SDK to call Store API routes. Install @aiminaabeejs/js-sdk in any JavaScript framework — Next.js, React, Vue, or Angular.
Every store method takes a store code as its first argument. That scopes the request to a store in the URL: /store/:storeCode/.... Do not hardcode a country as the store code, and do not derive the store code from [countryCode].
Refer to Connect to Aiminaabee to set up the SDK.
If you're not using JavaScript, each guide links to the Store API reference for the route URL, parameters, and response.
